FAQ

1. How do I enter? Entries should be made and paid to the participating producer prior to running. Entry fee is $20/weekend per horse/rider.
2. How do I know if I won? Once results are collect from producers, overall results and payoff will be posted on this website by Thursday following the event.  Checks will be mailed  no later than Friday following the event to winners with W9 forms on file.
3. How do I collect my winnings? Checks will be mailed by the following Friday to the winners with w9 forms on file. (those without forms on file can print one from our website and email or snail mail back to us.
4. How much of the entry fee does Power Barrels keep? Power Barrels keeps $1 from every entry for administrative purposes and advertising. The hosting producer keeps 20% of the sidepot entry fee and 100% of the added money is added to each weekend nationwide jackpot competition.
5. If I’m a producer – how do I get my show added to the power barrels schedule and what is the criteria? The best way is to contact Cindy for availability and details at (918) 636-6571 or powerbarrels@coffeyvilleks.net.
6. What if the arenas are different sizes/conditions that doesn’t seem like it would be fair? You are absolutely right that would not be fair to compare times. That is not what it does. It is not based on "times" it is based on your overall placing at the jackpot you are at EACH DAY competing against others who entered the sidepot at that jackpot. It is taken back to POINTS and the HI POINT winner from the weekend (overall) will ultimately be the power barrels cash winner. Any ties will be handled by splitting funds.
   

Power Barrels Sidepot Rules
1. $20 entry fee per horse/rider (must be same horse/rider combination over 2 days)
2. No refunds for any reason.
3. Points awarded to top 15 sidepot contestants in each division--1d,2d,3d,4d,5d (1/2 sec splits) each day.
4. It is the contestant’s responsibility to make sure the event producer has them entered in the Power Barrels sidepot before results are submitted. Once results are submitted from the show producer, changes will not be allowed for any reason. Please emphasize this throughout your event. 
5. Results will be posted on the website at www.powerbarrels.com by Thursday following the event and checks mailed by Friday of that week. (see rule 6)
6. W-9 form must be on file with Power Barrels for check to be issued. W9 form may be printed from our website and faxed or e-mailed to Power Barrels office.
7. Payback 100% added money + 75% entry fee (20% to producer and 5% to Power Barrels). No other fees will apply.
8. In case of ties, monies will be split evenly.
9. Number of places to be paid will follow this schedule. We will payout the jackpot with a minimum of 2 shows. The payout is always ½ sec split and always paid on a 5D format. Any ties will be handled by splitting Power Barrels monies among those tied.
